Professional Custom Piston Rings Manufacturer and Spplier sales@heartenauto.com
Our CKS (CID) piston ring adopts proprietary Chromium-based Composite Ceramic (CKS) surface treatment technology, an upgraded alternative to traditional electro-chromium plating, fully compliant with Euro IV emission standards and a major breakthrough in piston ring manufacturing.
The CKS process forms a uniform mesh texture inside the outer circular chromium coating. The mesh structure is filled with high-performance wear-resistant particles, which greatly enhance friction resistance against engine cylinder liners. Meanwhile, the unique mesh design provides excellent oil storage performance, stably retaining lubricating oil to further lower the friction coefficient, reduce cylinder wear and extend engine life. In addition, the piston ring body undergoes professional nitriding treatment, which significantly improves hardness and strength of the ring body and end faces, improving impact resistance and stability when matching with pistons.
We provided engine upgrade solutions using CKS (CID) piston rings for local light truck fleets. Operating under ambient temperatures of 38°C to 48°C, the engines keep continuous load operation with cylinder temperature maintained at 280°C–350°C, which raises strict requirements on heat resistance, wear resistance and lubrication performance of piston rings. Our chromium-based composite ceramic piston rings maintain stable physical properties under high temperature and heavy load. Benefiting from the mesh oil storage structure, the friction coefficient remains stable within a low range. Verified by road tests, its wear resistance reaches 1.5 times that of conventional chrome-plated piston rings as designed. The overall service life of piston assemblies is extended by 58%, and the probability of thermal wear failure drops by 42%. The average maintenance cycle of light truck engines is extended from 2,000 working hours to 3,100 working hours.
